We visited the Natural History Museum as children and I can remember being utterly awestruck by this wonderful place. Of course at the time, this had a lot to do with the life-size model of the Blue Whale and the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeletons! But also, the almost cathedral-like grandeur of the building with its huge staircases and towering archways had a mystical feel to it. Nowadays I go back to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition (definitely worth a visit even though you have to fight past hoards of school children because the exhibition is next to the bugs room!!) and I still find the place completely magical.
I will always love this place and the great thing for me now is that it is extremely photogenic! As of course is my lovely and very patient friend Molly who plays Where’s Wally in a couple of these photos! 🙂
